Students begin the day with a guided tour of our studio space. We walk them through each area, from the live room to the control booth, while explaining how each piece of gear contributes to the recording process. They’ll get to see microphones, preamps, mixing consoles, digital audio workstations, monitors, and more in action. This session breaks down complex tech into real-world applications students can understand and engage with.

The heart of the workshop: students get to record their own music in a professional setting. Whether it’s a full band, vocalists, or solo instrumentalists, we coach them through mic placement, performance energy, and live takes. Students see firsthand how performance, timing, and sound capture come together to form the foundation of a great track.

Once recording wraps, we move to the mixing phase. Our lead engineer walks students through the basics of mixing using their own audio tracks. They’ll learn about volume balancing, EQ, reverb, panning, and layering — and hear how just a few small changes can dramatically alter the mood of a song. We also talk about what a mixing engineer listens for and how creative choices influence the final product.

To close out the day, we open up a relaxed and engaging conversation around careers in audio, music production, and creative media. Students hear about real-life paths into the industry — from formal training to DIY hustle — and can ask anything from “What software should I learn?” to “How do I get my foot in the door?” We encourage all questions and foster an environment where students feel empowered to explore their own creative paths.

Each participant receives:
